CITÉ HES-SO Redesign

2026

CITE HES-SO Geneva

CITÉ is the interdisciplinary centre of HES-SO Geneva dedicated to the transformation of cities and territories. INT studio was commissioned to redesign its website to better communicate its role and mission, clarify its connections with Geneva’s universities of applied sciences, showcase its projects, and highlight collaborations between academic institutions and local stakeholders. INT was responsible for art direction, UX/UI design, and front-end development.

Following a collaborative workshop, the website’s structure was redesigned around six main sections: CITÉ, Education, Research, Events, Publications, and Network. The interface features intuitive navigation, clear typography, and a subtle grid inspired by urban plans and the built environment. An interactive map allows visitors to explore connections between CITÉ’s projects, people, and activities through a network visualisation. At the bottom of each page, cross-links organised by category and displayed as tags encourage visitors to discover related content.

Alongside the website redesign, INT studio refreshed CITÉ’s existing visual identity while retaining its original logo and typeface. A new symbol made of converging lines reflects interdisciplinary connections. A fresh palette of six colours, each associated with a section of the website, complements this identity. The symbol’s colours change according to the section being viewed, creating a visual connection between the graphic identity and the website’s structure.
